Prescription verification

PRESCRIPTION VERIFICATION

To best provide our customers care and service, we have implemented a prescription verification system that follows the Fairness to Contact Consumer Law (FCLCA) and Rules for the customers. Under the FCLCA, we are required to verify your lens prescription.
We provide easy options to verify your lens prescription during the checkout process as follows:
Send your valid copy of the prescription to our customer service at support-uk@vooglam.com.

How Does the Process Work?

Send us a copy of your prescription

1. Please provide us with a copy of your valid prescription written by eye care professionals. You can either scan or snap a picture of it.
2. Once the prescription is recorded and approved by us, we will keep the record for you. You can check out anytime without the need to re-upload in the future. Providing an invalid or inaccurate prescription may result in order cancellation.
3. Please send us your name, and picture/scan of your written prescription to our customer service at support-uk@vooglam.com.

RX SPH CYL Axis ADD
OD -1 -0.25 100 1.5
OS -2.25 -0.5 150 1.5

OD: OD stands for oculus dexter, the Latin phrase for “right eye”.
OS: OS stands for oculus sinister, the Latin phrase for “left eye”.

Sphere (SPH): This indicates the amount of lens power, measured in diopters (D), prescribed to correct myopia (nearsightedness) or hyperopia (farsightedness). The spherical power of a lens is indicated with a plus sign (+) for hyperopia and a minus sign (-) for myopia. moody only supplies Myopia lenses.

Cylinder (CYL): This indicates the amount of lens power for astigmatism. If no cylinder power is noted, either you’ve no astigmatism or your astigmatism is so slight that it is not necessary to correct it with your eyeglasses or lenses.

Axis: This describes the degree and direction of your astigmatism. The axis is a figure which determines the angle of the correction needed to see clearly, measured in degrees from 1 to 180.

ADD (Addition) This number indicates the additional magnification that is added to the distance prescription to get the reading portion of the lens in a multi-focal prescription.
